'What we should do is': Liverpool told to go and sign £100m midfielder now instead of Tchouameni
Jose Enrique has told Liverpool to go all out on Jude Bellingham instead of making a move to sign Aurelian Tchouameni, who is reportedly on his way to Real Madrid.
The Reds were so close to keeping their quadruple dreams alive, but a late comeback by Manchester City on the final day killed that. However, a treble is still very much achievable, but the big concern for Liverpool is the potential unavailability of Thiago Alcantara in the Champions League final this weekend.
The Spaniard is a fantastic player and is arguably one of the best in the world at what he does. However, injuries have been really cruel to him since he joined Liverpool, which is probably why Jurgen Klopp is looking around for a new top-quality midfielder.
Monaco youngster Tchouameni has been heavily linked with the Reds, but it looks like that deal will not happen now. Enrique has now suggested an even better player for the Reds to go after.
Liverpool told to sign Bellingham instead of Tchouameni
Liverpool have constantly been linked with a move to sign Tchouameni from Monaco this summer.
It has been claimed by multiple outlets that it’s a battle between the Reds and their Champions League final opponents, Real Madrid, for his signature, and it looks like the youngster has made up his mind.
Fabrizio Romano revealed this week that Tchouameni has decided to join Real Madrid and has even told his teammates that he wants to be at the Santiago Bernabeu next season.
That is bad news for Liverpool, but Enrique believes the Reds should use this opportunity to go all out on Borussia Dortmund’s £100 million-rated star Bellingham instead.
The Spaniard believes the teenager is a top-quality midfielder, and we can’t argue with that.

Well, if Liverpool can sign Jude Bellingham, they should sign Jude Bellingham – it really is a no brainer.
The Englishman, still only 18, is arguably the best young midfielder in world football. He has been fantastic ever since he joined Dortmund, and he has made a good name for himself at the international level as well.
After selling Erling Haaland to Manchester City for big money, Dortmund don’t really have to let Bellingham go as well this summer. They will do everything they possibly can to keep hold of him.
However, if Liverpool miss out on Tchouameni and decide to go all out on Bellingham, a deal could well be possible in the upcoming summer transfer window.
