Cesc Fabregas has claimed that he wants reported Arsenal target Aurelian Tchouameni to join Liverpool.
The Gunners will be on the market looking for a new central midfielder. Mikel Arteta needs a top-quality player in the middle of his park to take Arsenal to the next level, and Gianluca Di Marzio revealed a couple of weeks ago that Tchouameni is on the Gunners’ wish list.
Liverpool and Manchester United are also said to be interested in the talented young Frenchman, but Fabregas has revealed that he’d like to see the 22-year-old play for two clubs in the world – neither of which is Arsenal.
Cesc Fabregas says he wants Arsenal-linked Tchouameni to join Liverpool
Fabregas, who has had a frustrating season at Monaco, revealed in an interview how he has mentored the young players at the club since he joined them.
He said, as quoted by RMC Sport: “When I came (to Monaco), Thierry (Henry) and Vadim (Vasilyev) also asked me to help grow the young people. It was an important point.
“Today, I feel like I have won the respect and sympathy of this younger generation. I hope I have helped. We like each other.
“I will continue to follow them, exchange with them. I would like to see (Youssouf) Fofana, (Sofiane) Diop or Tchouameni at Liverpool or Bayern Munich.”

TBR View:
Both Arsenal and Liverpool have been linked with a move for Tchouameni, who is reportedly valued at £59 million by Monaco.
Branded as an ‘extraordinary’ player by Manchester United star Paul Pogba, the 22-year-old will be on many top European clubs’ shortlist in the upcoming summer transfer window.
Arsenal’s young and growing squad will be a perfect environment for Tchouameni to learn and develop at, but if the choice is between the Emirates and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool, most players are likely to pick the latter at the moment.
It will be interesting to see where Tchouameni ends up this summer, but if he listens to Fabregas, Arsenal fans will be left disappointed.
