Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard is a massive fan of Borussia Dortmund and England midfielder Jude Bellingham.
The youngster, still only 18, has made a phenomenal name for himself over the last two years. He joined BVB in the summer of 2020 and has become a huge star since, catching the eye of multiple top clubs across Europe.
The Mirror reported a few months ago that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp really likes Bellingham and wants to bring the talented teenager to Anfield. The report also claimed that the Reds are leading the race to sign the ex-Birmingham City man, who is valued at £100 million.
Now, Klopp, Liverpool’s board and the club’s fans have received a seal of approval from Gerrard.

Gerrard is undoubtedly one of the greatest midfielders to ever grace the game. If he looks at someone on the pitch and goes ‘wow’, that player is probably special – that’s exactly what Bellingham is.
The Liverpool legend sat down for a quick Q&A with Rio Ferdinand this week and was asked to name five of his favourite midfielders in world football today.
The first name out of Gerrard’s mouth was Bellingham.
“I love Jude Bellingham, absolutely loving him,” the Aston Villa boss said on Ferdinand’s YouTube channel.

Bellingham is undoubtedly one of the best young footballers on the planet at the moment. He has been incredible for Dortmund since he joined them, and he hasn’t looked out of place for England either.
Even though he’s still only 18, Bellingham has played close to 150 senior games for club and country already. He’s a spectacular talent and it’s only a matter of time before he leaves Dortmund to join one of Europe’s elite clubs.
Liverpool are reportedly keen and why wouldn’t they be. Their current midfielders aren’t getting any younger and if a fantastic young player like Bellingham becomes available, it would be silly to not make a move for him.
With Haaland off to Manchester City this summer, it’s unlikely that Bellingham will also be allowed to leave. However, in the summer of 2023, he could well be the hottest name in the window, and we expect Liverpool to make a move for him then.
