'Already communicated to his teammates': Fabrizio Romano has some bad news for Liverpool fans
Liverpool have been heavily linked with Aurelien Tchouameni in recent months.
However, it looks as though the Reds won’t be getting their hands on the Monaco midfielder.
This is according to RMC Sport, as relayed by Fabrizio Romano on Twitter.
RMC Sport has claimed that Tchouameni has chosen a move to Real Madrid over Liverpool.
And in a further blow to Reds fans, Romano has reported that the 22-year-old “dreams of Real”.
Two days ago, RMC Sport reported that both Liverpool and Real had agreed personal terms with the Frenchman.
Tchouameni then spent some time making his choice, and it looks as though it hasn’t gone the Anfield outfit’s way.
Have Liverpool missed out on “extraordinary” talent?
Liverpool boast an impressive midfield at the moment, but there’s certainly scope to bring in younger, first-team ready new recruits.
Jordan Henderson is 31 and James Milner is 36, so Jurgen Klopp may well be looking at potential successors.
And Tchouameni, one of the best young midfielders in world football, would’ve certainly fit the bill for the Anfield outfit.
Described by Paul Pogba as an “extraordinary” talent, Tchouameni’s performances have brought him to the forefront of the top teams’ minds.
Obviously it’s just speculation at the moment and, until there’s an official statement, then it’s not a foregone conclusion.
But it doesn’t look good for Liverpool right now.
