Arsenal have now been scouting Evan Ferguson for the last year, with the Gunners one of the teams eyeing a move for the Brighton star next summer.
That is according to a report from TEAMtalk, which notes that Chelsea are also admirers of the 19-year-old who recently signed a new contract at the Amex Stadium.

Evan Ferguson has certainly established himself as one of the most exciting talents in the Premier League. The teenager has scored five goals in 11 appearances in the top-flight this season.

Ferguson is one of the most accurate strikers in the Premier League. So it is no surprise that he seems to have a host of sides chasing his signature.
Reports from I News claimed that Manchester City want Ferguson. Meanwhile, TEAMtalk lists the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham as sides who are monitoring the Republic of Ireland international.
In fact, TEAMtalk reports that Arsenal have been watching Ferguson for the last year. But Brighton are set to demand over £100 million for the forward.
They could even demand even more than the £115 million Chelsea paid for Moises Caicedo.
Gunners need greater quality up front
Arsenal have shown that they are prepared to spend over £100 million to sign players, having broken their club-record on Declan Rice in the summer.
So if they deem Ferguson to be a future superstar, they are surely going to have serious discussions about making a bid for the Brighton youngster.
Arsenal need to strengthen their striker ranks in the coming months. Gabriel Jesus has struggled with injury during his time at the Emirates. And Eddie Nketiah is yet to prove that he can be the world-class striker Arsenal need.
Ferguson is not yet the finished article. But he definitely looks to have a very bright future ahead and is a ‘special‘ talent.
And it is going to be a fascinating chase for his signature.
