Tottenham target Rafael Leao ranked as better player than Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus
Erling Haaland aside, many people view the Gunners number nine as the signing of the summer. Jesus has been really good and he’s one of the biggest reasons why Arsenal are on top of the Premier League table.
Spurs, if they get their way, could sign someone who has been rated as a better player than Jesus.
Tottenham target Rafael Leao ranked as a better player than Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus
Jesus has been ranked as the 39th-best player at the World Cup in Qatar this month. The Brazilian is positioned in a better place than superstars like Ederson, Romelu Lukaku and Dusan Vlahovic.
However, Tottenham target Leao outranks all of them
The AC Milan forward has been named the 28th-best player at the 2022 FIFA World Cup – higher than the likes of Antoine Griezmann, Lautaro Martinez and Thomas Muller.
The 23-year-old has been excellent for Milan this term, scoring seven goals and providing nine assists in 20 appearances in all competitions.
He is expected to line up alongside Cristiano Ronaldo for Portugal in Qatar, and many eyes will be on him, including probably Tottenham’s, who are said to be interested in his services.
Spurs want to sign the ‘electric’ forward
Calciomercato. It reported last month that Spurs are now one of the clubs interested in signing Leao.
The Portuguese speedster, branded as an ‘electric’ player, is a wanted man. He has been linked with moves to Liverpool, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain along with Spurs, which isn’t ideal at all for Antonio Conte’s side.
The competition is really strong and the chances of Spurs luring him in over some of the biggest clubs in the world seem extremely slim at this point in time.
It will be interesting to see what will happen with Leao in January. If Spurs can somehow get him, their attack could become the most dangerous one in the Premier League.
