There’s just over a week to go in the January transfer window, and Marcus Rashford’s future remains unresolved.

Rashford is ready to leave Manchester United, and he has bene linked with a number of potential moves.

Rashford wants to join Barcelona, while AC Milan have been keen on Rashford recently.

West Ham have Rashford on their radar too, but West Ham believe Rashford is headed abroad.

However, despite West Ham’s lack of confidence to get this deal done, they are still monitoring this situation.

Indeed, according to Dharmesh Sheth, speaking on the Sky Sports Transfer Talk Podcast, West Ham have asked United to keep them informed on any movement around Rashford just in case an opportunity presents itself.

West Ham ask to be kept informed on Marcus Rashford

Sheth shared what he knows about Rashford and West Ham.

The journalist says that the Hammers have asked United to keep them up to date on what is happening with Rashford.

“They were asking, I think, Manchester United to keep them up to date with what was happening with the Marcus Rashford situation. The Evan Ferguson one for me is really interesting. He’s returning to fitness, but he’s going to be behind Joe Pedro and Danny Welbeck, who themselves were injured recently, but they’re both back in and playing for Brighton again,” Sheth said.

What David Sullivan once said about Marcus Rashford

Rashford has been criticised for his performances as a footballer as of late, but regardless of his on-field performances, he’ll always be a fan favourite in the eyes of many due to his work off the pitch.

Indeed, Rashford led a huge campaign to try to tackle child poverty in the UK after the government made changes to the free school meals scheme.

Ultimately, Rashford’s campaign was a success, and West Ham owner, David Sullivan, praised Rashford for his work.

“Marcus Rashford has done such a fantastic job of raising awareness and leading the way in tackling this very important issue, which impacts so many youngsters in our local communities up and down the country. It is a privilege to be able to help,” Sullivan said, via Sky Sports, after making a charitable donation himself.

Sullivan is clearly a fan of Rashford as a person, and who knows? Perhaps that will play some sort of part in West Ham’s transfer chase for the Manchester United attacker

Rashford needs a move in the coming days, and West Ham are seemingly still lurking as an option.
