Mikel Arteta may now be at risk of losing one a highly-regarded Arsenal youngster to Newcastle United in the near future.
Perhaps not the news Arsenal fans will have wanted to hear ahead of their return to Premier League football at Nottingham Forest tonight.

Arteta’s side have endured a very quiet New Year on the pitch, but the schedule is now thankfully about to pick up.
It seems as if Arteta’s focus is purely on tonight’s trip – with the manager confirming there will be little in the way of new signings before the January deadline.
That being said, Arsenal could now be at risk of losing an ‘unplayable’ talent in their academy.
According to The Standard, Amario Cozier-Dubbery is now attracting interest from a host of top European clubs.
The Arsenal youngster, who Arteta will surely not want to lose, is now entering the final six months of his contract, something that has caught the eye of Newcastle.
Eddie Howe’s side have been very quick to identify opportunities to sign young English talent of late – just look at moves for Tino Livramento and Lewis Hall, and they could be moving again.
Newcastle could sign Arsenal youngster Amario Cozier-Duberry for free in the summer
According to the report, Arsenal are very keen for the 18-year-old to stay and have held talks over a new contract, but are yet to find an agreement.
The winger clearly has a ton of potential and it really is a surprise that the situation has been allowed to get this far.

Jack Wilshere has been very complimentary of Cozier-Duberry in the past, and he would surely be shocked if Arsenal managed to lose him on a free.
But as Arsenal will know, Newcastle do have a lot of pull these days, and they can probably offer the youngster a clearer path to the first team.
Eddie Howe’s side could still lose Miguel Almiron before the window closes, reducing competition further.
But with Arsenal perhaps eyeing a move for Wolves’ Pedro Neto this summer, it’s certainly one to ponder for the winger.
