Arsenal made sure they avoided a cup upset as they eased past Oxford United 3-0 on Monday night.

Goals from Mohamed Elneny and Eddie Nketiah set up a tie against Manchester City in the next round.

A number of Arsenal players took to Instagram yesterday to celebrate their side’s win.

Aaron Ramsdale was very impressed with Nketiah’s brace against the League One side.

Albert Sambi Lokonga returned to the starting line-up, and William Saliba sent the young midfielder an encouraging message.

The focus will now be on a huge game in the Premier League, as Arsenal travel to Tottenham on Sunday.

Mikel Arteta knows how important the match is to the fans, having played and managed in a number of north London derbies.

Not only that, Arsenal need to maintain their five-point lead over Manchester City at the top of the Premier League.

He will therefore be encouraged by Gabriel Magalhaes’ performance in the FA Cup on Monday.

The Brazilian defender will be pleased to have kept a clean sheet, but facing the likes of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min is a completely different challenge.

The 25-year-old took to Instagram after the match, and simply posted a white heart next to an action shot of him playing.

This was in reference to the special kits Arsenal wore to support the No More Red campaign.

Gabriel’s centre-back partner on the night, Rob Holding, replied to Gabriel with a brick emoji, showing how tough he was in defence.

The Brazilian defender was named in Opta’s Premier League team of 2022, which is a massive achievement.

His performances have attracted the attention of Serie A side Juventus, although it seems unlikely that Arsenal will let him go.

Gabriel will need to be at the top of his game for Arsenal’s next FA Cup match.

An away trip to Manchester City is arguably the toughest draw the Gunners could have got.

However, with the confidence running through the Arsenal side right now, they’ll believe they can get a result at The Etihad.
