Report: Juventus constantly monitoring 'incredible' Arsenal player
Juventus are constantly monitoring Gabriel Magalhaes in the hope of signing the Arsenal star, with Calciomercatoweb reporting that Danilo is working to convince the centre-back to join the Old Lady.
Gabriel has been linked with Juve for several months now. Reports from Tuttosport in the summer claimed that the Brazilian was keen to make the switch to Turin.
Obviously, the 24-year-old ultimately stayed at the Emirates. And he appeared to put any speculation to bed by signing a new contract with the Gunners. That deal is set to run until 2027.
Juventus constantly monitoring Gabriel
That did not appear to put Juventus off however. Tuttomercatoweb recently claimed that Juventus are planning to make a bid next summer. It was suggested that his value was around £43 million.
Calciomercatoweb has now shed even more light on Juve’s interest in Gabriel. They also suggest that Arsenal want at least £43 million for the Brazilian.
They add that Juventus are constantly monitoring the defender as they seek a replacement for Giorgio Chiellini. And Danilo is pushing Gabriel to make the switch also.
Arsenal fans may not be too worried about the fresh reports. Gabriel confirmed his commitment to the club by signing a long-term deal just last month.
It would also be a shock if the Gunners had any interest in letting him go for just €50 million. He has been somewhat outshone by his defensive partner, William Saliba for much of this season. But he is clearly a world-class talent.
Mikel Arteta has previously labelled Gabriel ‘incredible‘. So he would surely have no interest in losing him.
Arsenal have a fantastic thing going right now. So letting go of one of their stalwarts just makes so little sense – unless Juventus offer a lot, lot more.
