Richard Keys says he’s heard rumours that Real Madrid want Harry Kane

Kane is not just Tottenham’s star man, he’s the captain of England as well.

The Three Lions kicked off their World Cup campaign in brilliant style, and Kane picked up a couple of assists. He will be key for Gareth Southgate’s side in the coming weeks, but once that’s done, the focus will be back on what the future holds for him.

The pundits on beIN Sports discussed what Kane could do at the end of this season. Chelsea legend John Terry was adamant that the striker should leave Tottenham if he wants to win trophies in his career.

Host Keys then claimed he has heard that European champions Real Madrid are keen to sign him.

He said: “I have heard a lot of recent speculation that Real Madrid have quite fancied him down the years. Who knows, if these rumours develop into solid talk.”

Kane, branded as ‘brilliant’ by Glenn Hoddle, will enter the final 18 months of his contract on New Year’s Day.

Real Madrid have always eyed the best players in the world, and Kane definitely checks that box.

The Galacticos were very keen to bring in Kylian Mbappe last summer, but the Frenchman ended up extending his contract at Paris Saint-Germain. Reports have revealed that the World Cup winner wants out of PSG already, and Real Madrid seem the obvious option.

However, if Mbappe changes his mind again, Real Madrid may well turn to Kane, who will have just 12 months left on his Tottenham contract in July.

Spurs fans will be desperate for their talisman to stay. Whether he will, though, remains to be seen.
