Tottenham Hotspur boss Antonio Conte has made it clear he’s still looking to improve his squad.

A number of first-team players have barely been seen this season, despite injuries to several of his stars.

A report from TuttoMercatoWeb has provided an update on one of his proposed transfer targets.

After an injury to Dejan Kulusevski, Football London reported that Conte wanted another attacker in the squad.

This could spell bad news for the likes of Lucas Moura and Bryan Gil.

Moura has struggled with injuries this season, but even when fit Conte has been reluctant to play him.

Bryan Gil has had to watch most of this campaign from the bench after being denied a loan move in the summer.

Their game time could be limited even further if Conte gets his wish in January.

One player who Conte is a big fan of is Roma attacker Nicolo Zaniolo.

Zaniolo has been linked with Spurs for a long time, and the north London side are reportedly leading the race to sign him.

TuttoMercato now suggest that Zaniolo’s asking price has been set should he decide to leave the club.

The ‘incredible’ attacker could be on the move in the near future.

Roma set Zaniolo asking price

The report from TuttoMercatoWeb has provided more details on Zaniolo’s future.

They believe that Napoli are also interested in signing the 23-year-old if he doesn’t sign a new deal.

The Italian’s contract runs out in 2024, and if he decides against renewing, Roma will listen to offers in the summer.

Zaniolo’s asking price has been set at £25.8m (€30m), which will certainly interest Tottenham.

Conte is a big fan of Zaniolo, and Sky Italia have previously said he dreams of signing the attacker.

Zaniolo hasn’t been the most prolific player this season, managing just one league goal in 10 Serie A starts.

However, he offers flexibility, as he’s capable of playing out wide of as a central playmaker.

Roma will hope Zaniolo determines his future sooner rather than later.

Tottenham could end up benefitting this summer from the attacker’s indecision.
