Newcastle United will now launch a final bid on deadline day to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Julian Draxler, according to French outlet Media Foot.
The ‘extraordinary’ World Cup-winning midfielder also shares the same agent as Magpies midfielder Joelinton, which could boost their chances of landing him.
Draxler has enjoyed a decorated career as he lifted the World Cup with Germany in 2014 and has also won Ligue 1 on four occasions.
The midfielder is apparently surplus to requirements at PSG and Newcastle are not giving up in their attempts to land him before the window closes.

Newcastle final bid to sign Draxler
Media Foot reports that Draxler is reluctant to leave PSG, despite the club wanting to offload him.
And Eddie Howe’s men are the one English club that could launch a last-minute bid to sign the 28-year-old.
The outlet notes that Draxler has spent the whole summer refusing offers and does not care about not playing regularly before the World Cup in Qatar.
The Magpies have failed with attempts to land Seko Fofana and Lucas Pauqeta, so they are now pushing for Draxler.
Howe could launch one final offer on deadline day in an attempt to convince the midfielder to leave PSG.

TBR’s View: Newcastle should wait for Maddison deal
Newcastle have been on the lookout for attacking midfielders this summer, with reports suggesting the club had bids turned down for James Maddison.
Draxler has enjoyed a decent career but he has largely been underwhelming in France.
Maddison would represent a much better option for Eddie Howe moving forward. The Leicester man has proven himself in the Premier League and could become available within the next two windows.
