Newcastle United have wanted to sign Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic since June, and a deal is now looking more likely.

Chelsea would like to replace any players they are willing to let leave this summer first, and a deal for Pulisic is still dependant on this.
However, Thomas Tuchel’s side are no longer ruling out a move completely away from Stamford Bridge for Pulisic, which will offer Newcastle hope.
Newcastle have wanted Pulisic for months
Pulisic isn’t the only Chelsea player Newcastle are interested in, with Callum Hudson-Odoi also reportedly a target.
Newcastle have been considering plenty of options from Chelsea this summer, with Conor Gallagher and Armando Broja both also being looked at.
Howe will need to choose which Chelsea player he wants most though, with league rules stopping Newcastle signing more than one player on loan from the same club.

The ‘exceptional’ 23-year-old American would add a different dynamic to Newcastle’s squad, as he offers a more significant goal threat from out wide than Miguel Almiron or Allan Saint-Maximin.
Pulisic scored six league goals from 22 appearances last season, the same number Saint-Maximin and Almiron managed combined in a total of 65 games.
Newcastle should be wary that despite being a great player, Pulisic has struggled to stay fit since joining Chelsea in 2019.
Pulisic has had twelve separate injury issues during his time at Stamford Bridge, but if Newcastle can keep him fit, he would be another great addition to Howe’s ever-improving squad.
