Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Chelsea are prepared to let Callum Hudson-Odoi leave Stamford Bridge amid rumours linking him with a move to Newcastle United.
The Magpies are still looking for new players, and they have been linked with quite a few Chelsea stars. Hudson-Odoi is one of them, as is Christian Pulisic – but a move for the latter may not be straightforward.
Fabrizio Romano shares update on Newcastle targets Hudson-Odoi and Pulisic
Speaking to GiveMeSport, Romano shared some good news for Newcastle United fans with respect to Hudson-Odoi. He revealed that ‘it’s a yes’ from Chelsea to sell the 21-year-old winger, but it’s not quite the same with Pulisic.
The journalist claimed that the American will only be sold to Newcastle or any other club if Chelsea can find a replacement for him in the coming days.
Romano said: “Newcastle have been interested (in Pulisic), including at the end of June and the beginning of July, but from Chelsea, it was ‘no’.
“Before selling all these players, I think Chelsea will need to make sure that they can sign some players in those positions – a new striker and maybe a new winger.
“This is why for Hudson-Odoi it’s a yes, but for Pulisic it depends.”

TBR View:
Pulisic’s future remains up in the air, but the good news for Newcastle United fans is that Chelsea are ready to sell Hudson-Odoi, who has been heavily linked with a move to St James’ Park.
The 21-year-old, branded as an ‘outstanding’ player, has always been a hugely exciting talent. He has even played over 125 senior games for Chelsea in all competitions, which shows just how good he is.
However, Hudson-Odoi has just not been able to nail down a place for himself at Chelsea this year. He hasn’t played a single game in the Premier League since January, and it’s clear that he has no future at Stamford Bridge.
It will be interesting to see where Hudson-Odoi will end up, but if Newcastle really are keen, they should be able to get this deal over the line in the coming weeks.
