Report: Liverpool now expecting to sell 'amazing' player soon with bid incoming

According to The Daily Mail, Liverpool are expecting Bayern Munich to come back with another bid to sign Sadio Mane in the coming days.

The Senegal star has reportedly made it clear to the Reds that he intends to leave the club this summer. He has been at Liverpool for six years now, and he wants to explore a different challenge elsewhere.

Multiple reports have led us to believe that Bayern are really interested in Mane. The German giants could lose Serge Gnabry this summer, and the Liverpool man would be a sensational signing to replace him.

Liverpool have turned down two bids for Mane from Bayern already, but the report claims that the Reds are expecting a third bid to seal the deal in the coming days.

Liverpool expect Bayern to meet their demands for Sadio Mane

Of Bayern’s two bids, their second one has become a joke on social media. The Bundesliga giants reportedly tabled an initial bid of £23.5 million with add-ons taking that up to £30 million if they were fulfilled.

The report reveals that the add-ons would only kick in if Mane won three Champions League titles at Bayern in addition to as many Ballon d’Or awards. That’s ridiculous and it’s no surprise that Liverpool turned them down.

However, the report reveals that Liverpool are expecting Bayern to return with a third offer for Mane, and this time, the Reds think their £42 million valuation of their star winger will be met.

If that happens, Liverpool will sell Mane to Bayern, which will bring an end to his six-year stay at Anfield.

Bayern’s first two offers for Mane stood at £21.5 million and £23.5 million respectively without the add-ons. If Liverpool had accepted that for the Senegal star after the season he has just had, it would’ve been a crazy decision.

The Reds are absolutely right to demand what they think is right for the ‘amazing’ 30-year-old, and considering that Bayern are so keen to sign him this summer, they may well meet the demands in the coming weeks.

It really does look like Mane will leave Liverpool before the end of this summer’s transfer window, which is a shame.

However, with Darwin Nunez set to come in as the replacement, Reds fans should be really excited about what’s in store for next season.
