Liverpool may have to replace Sadio Mane this summer amid speculation linking the Reds forward with a move away.

Multiple reports have emerged suggesting the Anfield star is on the radar of Bayern Munich.

Indeed, Sky Sport Germany has claimed their move for the Liverpool star is ‘taking more and more concrete shape’.

Mane’s departure would be a huge blow for Jurgen Klopp, but it looks as though he’s been eyeing potential replacements.

According to The Mirror, Liverpool have set their sights on Rennes forward Martin Terrier as a possible Mane replacement.

Terrier enjoyed a sensational season last time out, registering 21 goals and four assists from 37 Ligue 1 games.

Indeed, 19 of those came from open play – one non-penalty goal less than Karim Benzema.

The 25-year-old’s efforts helped Rennes finish fourth in the table and qualify for the 2022-23 Europa League.

Terrier also played for Lyon, Lille and Strasbourg Alsace earlier in his career.

The former France Under-21 international joined Rennes in 2020 for a nominal fee of just over £10million.

A recent report from Calciomercato claimed the French club wants £34million for Terrier.

As well as Liverpool, Tottenham are apparently eyeing the forward – indeed, they’ve reportedly made an offer.

Nonetheless, it doesn’t look as though there have been any further developments on that front.

Another player Klopp could turn into a star?

Terrier looks like a great shout for Liverpool.

Aside from his impressive goalscoring tally, he is a very versatile attacker.

Tettier has thrived on the left of the front three this year, but he is also capable of playing in the middle.

On Twitter, fans have previously compared Terrier to the likes of Robin van Persie, Dimitar Berbatov and Robert Pires.

Thierry Henry has also backed him for a France call-up, the Premier League legend insisting he really likes the player.

While Terrier may not be a household name in England just yet, Klopp has shown time and time again he can create household names.
