Report: Italian club to open talks with 23-year-old midfielder linked with Arsenal and Tottenham
Italian giants Juventus are reportedly due to begin talks with Serie A rivals Sassuolo about Manuel Locatelli, amid links with both Arsenal and Tottenham.
Gianluca Di Marzio claims on his official website that the Sassuolo midfielder is a “main target” for Juventus. They will reportedly open discussions with him soon.
However, significant interest from the Premier League, London in particular, has been circling this week around Locatelli.
Locatelli plays for a Sassuolo side that finished eighth in Serie last season, but he’s top quality.
The central midfielder started Italy’s first game of Euro 2020 in the win over Turkey, so his keeps improving.
He’s part of an Italian group that are considered dark horses to win the tournament.
Tottenham, Arsenal target Manuel Locatelli will surely be on the move
Locatelli is proving to be a star in the making in Serie A.
He shines in a defensive midfield position where his strengths lie in passing, composure and positioning.
He’s a deep-lying playmaker that could add plenty to both Arsenal and Spurs, but it’s concerning to hear that Juventus are ramping up interest by opening discussions shortly.
If you’re an Italian, surely it would be a dream to put on the black and white stripes of Juventus.
