Report: Conte is asking about Spurs target Bastoni every day

Antonio Conte is asking about signing Alessandro Bastoni every single day, and the Tottenham Hotspur target may be sold despite not wanting to leave Inter Milan, according to Calciomercato.It.

Spurs are seemingly desperate to sign Bastoni. And it does seem that they have good chance of agreeing a deal for the 23-year-old.

Conte believes that the Italy international could become one of the world’s best centre-backs. He has reportedly informed Tottenham that they need to sign him whatever the price.

And Spurs do indeed think that there is a deal to be done. Alasdair Gold suggested that Tottenham believe that agreeing terms with Inter would not be a problem despite the Nerazzurri demanding around £51 million.

However, Gold added that the only issue is expected to be whether Bastoni wants to leave San Siro.

Calciomercato. It has provided a further update. They report that the defender wants to stay at Inter. However, a sale may happen. Inter need to raise funds for their own targets.

And crucially, the report claims that Conte is calling about Bastoni every day.

It does appear that one Tottenham target could leave Inter this summer. Reports have suggested that they also want Lautaro Martinez.

Both players would attract huge fees if they left. And it seems that Inter need one big sale. They hope to bring Romelu Lukaku back to Milan this summer.

Tottenham appear to be prioritising Bastoni, but they can switch their focus if they are unable to do a deal.

Signing Martinez would be seriously exciting. He would be an outstanding addition to Tottenham’s ranks.

It does seem Bastoni is the key target right now. And Conte is doing all he can to get him through the door.
