Report: 'Amazing' player is so happy at Tottenham he may never leave the club
According to Mail Plus, Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane is very optimistic about his future and may even be persuaded to end his career at Spurs.
As every summer transfer window approaches, Spurs fans dread the possibility of losing their talisman. Kane is one of the best strikers in world football, and every year, one top club or another is linked with a move to sign him.
Just last year, Manchester City were keen and Kane was desperate to leave as well. A deal even looked imminent at one point, but Daniel Levy stood firm and blocked the move.
Now, with Antonio Conte at the helm and Spurs back in the Champions League, Kane’s in a really happy place.
Harry Kane could end his career at Tottenham Hotspur
The report claims that Kane is now reinvigorated at Tottenham under Conte.
The Englishman is really optimistic about the future of the club and is not thinking about leaving this summer – the complete opposite of what was on his mind this time last year.
It has been claimed that there has been a huge shift in his attitude with respect to Tottenham and is now very positive about being a part of a successful side under a proven winner in Conte.
The report also claims that although new contract talks are yet to begin between Kane and Spurs, there is a feeling now that the Englishman could be persuaded to finish his professional career at Tottenham.
TBR View:
Kane, branded as ‘amazing’ by Dane Scarlett, will turn 29 next month and has two full years left on his contract at Tottenham. He will be 31 by the time that’s done, which makes the next deal he signs possibly the best one of his career.
The positives for Kane at the moment are that Tottenham are back in the Champions League and that Conte is at the helm. Daniel Levy seems to have decided to back the Italian in the transfer window as well, which is a fantastic sign.
There hasn’t been a better time than now to be a Spurs player over the last decade, and it’s completely understandable why Kane is so happy now compared to this time last year. However, that could quickly change if Spurs don’t have a great window and Conte walks away.
Tottenham have to take advantage of the position they’re in now and tie-down Kane to a long-term deal. If they don’t, they’ll find themselves in a really vulnerable situation next year when he’ll enter the final year of his contract.
