‘They are amazing’: Dane Scarlett names the two Tottenham players who are just brilliant in training
Dane Scarlett has praised Tottenham duo Son Heung-min and Harry Kane after signing his new contract with the club.
Exciting prospect Scarlett has committed his future to the club until 2026, and he has the opportunity to learn from two of the best forwards in the world in north London.
Speaking to Spurs club media, Scarlett paid tribute to England captain Kane and the man who shared the Golden Boot with Mo Salah in Son.
Scarlett praises Son and Kane
Scarlett said of Son and Kane: “They are amazing. Both of them.
“You can see the link on the pitch and that stems from training.
“They are very top and good people to be around.
“I think it’s amazing I have this opportunity to be working with these kind of names and people.”
Last month, Scarlett impressed Kane in Spurs training during a finishing drill and the youngster’s medium term goal must be to be the England talisman’s understudy.
Tottenham have repeatedly struggled under a series of managers to find a deputy for Kane and a potentially ideal solution would be to promote from within.
Scarlett has made strides and bulked up but he still has some more learning to do before he is ready for that.
He could hardly ask for two better role models than Kane and Son, who Antonio Conte will look for even more from next season.
