Fabrizio Romano says Arsenal are in advanced talks to sign Leandro Trossard now
Arsenal have moved on from Mykhylo Mudryk and are pushing to sign Leandro Trossard now, just days after Tottenham Hotspur made a bid for him.
That’s according to Fabrizio Romano, who has revealed that the Gunners are in talks with the Seagulls to sign the Belgian forward, who has been branded as a ‘magnificent’ player.

It’s no secret at this point that Arsenal wanted to sign Mudryk in this window. The Ukrainian was their priority target, but Chelsea swooped in and lured him away.
That was a huge blow for Mikel Arteta and Edu, who had spent half of the January transfer window trying to sign him.
Thankfully for Gunners fans, it looks like Arsenal have moved on and are about to make a move for another talented player – Trossard.
The Belgian had a huge fall out with Brighton boss Roberto De Zerbi this month. It was made clear that he wanted to leave the club, and Trossard has been linked with moves to both Arsenal and Tottenham since.
Spurs reportedly even made a £12 million bid to sign him a few days ago (The Athletic).
The two North London clubs could both do with a player of Trossard’s quality, but if Romano is to be believed, it’s the Gunners who are leading the race to sign the £25 million-rated Brighton star.
The journalist claimed in a tweet just a few minutes ago: “EXCLUSIVE: Arsenal have opened talks to sign Leandro Trossard from Brighton, negotiations are advanced with official bid ready for permanent move.
“Personal terms already agreed — talks will continue to get deal done soon.”
If things go to plan, Arsenal should be able to wrap this deal up very quickly.
That would be really frustrating for Spurs, who had made a move to sign Trossard just a few days ago.
