TBR Football understands Nottingham Forest have sacked Ange Postecoglou following the 3-0 loss against Chelsea.
As previously revealed by TBR Football, a defeat to Chelsea could cost Ange his job, and now, less than an hour after the final whistle, that is how the situation has panned out.
The former Tottenham boss quickly succeeded Nuno Espirito Santo in September but failed to win any of his eight matches in charge across all competitions.
Now, Evangelos Marinakis, who was seen to have left the stadium during the clash at the City Ground, has made the decision to terminate Ange’s employment.

Ange Postecoglou sacked after eight matches in charge
Chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has revealed to TBR Football that Nottingham Forest sources have confirmed that Ange has been relieved of his duties at the City Ground.
Bailey states: “Ange knew coming into the Chelsea game that he was under pressure. I am told that he believed he would get until the next international break, but that is not how things have unravelled.
“Understand that Marinakis knew before full-time that he was going to make the change.
“Forest already have an idea about what they are going to do, it is likely they will go interim on a short-term deal, but we will see what happens in the coming days.”

Marinakis has been considering Ange’s future after a barren start to life in the East Midlands, and Fulham boss Marco Silva is on the shortlist of potential replacements.
Furthermore, a Forest return for Steve Cooper is now under consideration as Marinakis must now appoint his third manager in just over a month.
The pressure had been building since the 3-0 loss against Arsenal in his opening match. Roy Keane claimed Ange wouldn’t last a year in the job – his reign was cut short after 39 days.

The decision confirms that Ange’s 39-day spell in charge at Forest is now the shortest managerial tenure of any top-flight boss to leave a club during the season.
He will leave the City Ground having been the first manager in the 160-year history of the football club to lose all eight of his opening matches.
Neco Williams’ 2nd-minute goal in the 1-1 draw against Burnley is the only goal Forest managed under Ange as he joins Alan Shearer from his spell managing Newcastle in 2009 to have his side score only one goal in his first five games.
The defeat now leaves Forest in the relegation zone, with matches against Bournemouth, Manchester United, and Liverpool in the next four league outings. Whoever Marinakis chooses to appoint will have a monumental task ahead.
