TBR Football understands that Nottingham Forest owner Evangelos Marinakis is considering the future of Ange Postecoglou, and the club’s hierarchy is exploring options to replace him, which include Fulham’s Marco Silva.
Marco Silva is someone that Evangelos Marinakis knows well from their time together at Olympiakos. He guided Olympiakos to a record-breaking 17-game winning streak to start the 2015 season, which ended in the title with six games to spare.
Silva stepped down from his role in Athens but remained on good terms with Marinakis.

Silva himself was frustrated for much of the summer with Fulham due to their lack of spending, though they made several breakthroughs in the final days of the window.
Sources: How likely is Marco Silva to join Nottingham Forest?
However, Silva – who rejected a summer move to the Saudi Pro League – is out of contract at the end of the season, and thus far, talks over a new contract have not progressed.
Now his former employer, Marinakis, could be looking at being reunited with the Portuguese.
Marinakis is now discussing Postecoglou’s future internally, but he is hugely concerned that the club has gone seven games without a win in his tenure – despite spending millions in the summer on what is now a new-look squad.
We are told that a number of the club’s top brass feel a quick change might be needed, given the unpopularity of Postecoglou’s appointment to replace Nuno Espirito Santo, but Marinakis is now deliberating what to do.
Marinakis has the option of giving the Australian another six games, which would take him to November’s international break.

Chief correspondent Graeme Bailey tells TBR Football: “Evangelos Marinakis has a big decision to make. He is very worried about how Forest have fared under Postecoglou thus far; they have been really poor.
“In the end, it is his decision, given it was he who pushed for Postecoglou in the first place. But there are other options, including Marco Silva. The two of them worked well at Olympiakos, and Marinakis likes his style of play.”
