Tottenham: Dropping the Deuce, Clint Dempsey

Dempsey is what many say he is, a medium sized fish that is fit for a medium sized pond. At Fulham he basically overachieved, bringing them to a Europa League final. There he was a medium fish in a little pond, but when he moved to Tottenham it seemed like the spotlight got brighter and Deuce couldn’t quite handle it.

Sebastian Schuppan headed the ball into the corner, beating Yelldell restoring the Dresden fans with a little hope going in to the new season.

Hooper has gained compliments from many well respected English managers including the very reputable Harry Redknapp who branded Hooper a “proven goalscorer”. Redknapp’s QPR side were on the verge of signing Hooper for a fee in the region of £5.5 million, similar to the fee in which Norwich paid for Hooper, however, their lethargic approach to contract negotiations with Hooper paved the way for Norwich to sign the English marksman on a 3 year deal.
