The Athletic journalist Seb Stafford-Bloor claims that Tottenham Hotspur managerial target Julian Nagelsmann would welcome the Spurs project a lot more than Antonio Conte and Jose Mourinho.
Tottenham are hunting for a new manager yet again following the failures of Antonio Conte earlier this season. Jose Mourinho also managed Spurs and was sacked.
Julian Nagelsmann, who was sacked from Bayern Munich during this season, is seen as a favourite candidate. He has held talks with the club.
With a few weeks still left until the end of the season, chairman Daniel Levy has given himself some time to find a new manager.

Nagelsmann would enjoy Tottenham project
Nagelsmann, who Fabrizio Romano has deemed “phenomenal“, is raring to get back into management and Spurs could be a great step for him.
Speaking on The Athletic’s View From The Lane podcast, Stafford-Bloor claimed: “Mourinho’s best days are ten years ago, possibly. Conte’s the best period of his career is behind him probably.
“I don’t think Nagelsmann will be coaching in his sixties because it’s an awfully long time but he has so much road ahead of him.
“Actually, developing a project at Spurs, it doesn’t become a race for him (Nagelsmann). I don’t think Nagelsmann is in any rush.”
The journalist is most definitely right, Nagelsmann is only 35 years old and won’t feel rushed to succeed at Spurs. Some argued Bayern Munich shouldn’t have sacked him so soon.
At RB Leipzig the “tactical genius“, who has been deemed ‘one of the best coaches in the world’, showed he could get success if given the time to built. This is exactly what Tottenham need.
They look set to miss out on the top four so need a manager who can help them progress and consistently battle at the top.
