Hart was impressed with £15m Tottenham player after Marseille win

Tottenham Hotspur don’t make anything easy right now, and that continued last night against Marseille.

Spurs once again start slowly, and found themselves 1-0 down at half-time for the second game on the bounce.

Antonio Conte would have been struggling to watch from the stands as he served his touchline ban.

However, his players turned it around in second-half once again to earn their place in the knockout stages.

Clement Lenglet scored his first goal in a Tottenham shirt after heading in an Ivan Perisic free-kick.

Tottenham were through to the last-16 with that goal, but had to see off plenty of Marseille efforts.

However, as the French side chased a winner, they were hit by a classic Tottenham counter-attack.

The move was eventually finished off by Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg as Spurs went on to top the group.

Hojbjerg’s former teammate Joe Hart was impressed with the Dane’s performance yesterday.

Hart has been dealing with a Champions League campaign of his own at Celtic.

However, the Bhoys have already been eliminated from their group and play their final European match tonight against Real Madrid this evening.

The midfielder simply posted a blue heart, mirroring the colour his team were playing in last night.

Hart replied to his post, and applauded Hojbjerg’s efforts yesterday.

The £15m midfielder has been an integral member of Conte’s squad this season.

His partnership with Rodrigo Bentancur has made Spurs very difficult to attack in central areas.

They’ve both popped up with last-minute winners in the last week too, a role neither traditionally play.

Hart was so impressed with Hojbjerg yesterday, as were his Spurs teammates.

Hugo Lloris thought he was ‘amazing’, and Tottenham fans will have him to thank if they get a kind knockout draw on Friday.
