Tottenham Hotspur target Josko Gvardiol has confirmed he’s not leaving RB Leipzig this month.
The Croatian centre-back spoke to Sky Germany, as relayed by Fabrizio Romano.
Gvardiol was one of the stars of the World Cup, helping Croatia reach the semi-finals.
He was already on the radar of plenty of Europe’s top clubs, but it only heightened his reputation.
Spurs were linked with a move for Gvardiol in the summer, but couldn’t complete a deal.
He was one of a number of centre-back Antonio Conte wished to join their ranks.

Instead, they had to settle for the arrival of Clement Lenglet on loan from Barcelona, with funds used to strengthen other areas.
The £75m defender could end up being the most expensive centre-back in the world when he eventually moves.
Extremely comfortable on the ball, brilliant in the air and at making tackles, Gvardiol all-round defensive game is fantastic.
It’s no surprise that Leipzig are desperate to keep hold of him for as long as possible.
Gvardiol not leaving Leipzig in January
Speaking to Sky Germany, Gvardiol said: “My plan is that I stay here. I think everyone has seen Max Eberl’s statement. I’m okay with that.”
Romano added, “All points to potential transfer in the summer and not in January, as things stand.”
Gvardiol previously admitted that he used to follow Liverpool, and once dreamed of playing for them.
The Reds have also been credited with interest in the young Croatian, which could end up being a stumbling block in the future.
Gvardiol has spent most of this season playing as part of a back four for Leipzig and Croatia.

It wouldn’t take a lot of work for a defender as talented as Gvardiol to adapt to Antonio Conte’s style.
As a naturally left-footed player, he would also be able to adapt to playing either central or left-sided role at Spurs.
This all remains a pipe dream right now, with Gvardiol insisting he’s not leaving Leipzig yet.
Once he does become available, Tottenham will need to go all out to secure his signature.
