Nottingham Forest are set for yet another change at the top, as the club have decided to dismiss Nuno Espirito Santo.
The East Midlands outfit enjoyed an impressive Premier League season under the Portuguese coach last time out.
With a renewed team built on the foundations of a good defence and a clinical attack, there was a time when Champions League football looked attainable.
It slipped out of their grasp, but Nottingham Forest did land Europa League football in the end, much to the misfortune of Crystal Palace.
While there was plenty of hope in the air surrounding the City Ground for an exciting campaign, things have quickly turned sour.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s dismissal from Nottingham Forest seemingly comes after a disagreement with owner Evangelos Marinakis and new sporting director Edu Gaspar.
With that switch now set in stone, Forest are looking at the managerial market for their next potential manager.
So, with that said, here’s a look at five managers who are currently free and available to step into the role.

Jose Mourinho
Jose Mourinho is nothing short of a Premier League icon.
His two spells at Chelsea came with plenty of success, before bringing plenty of drama with him to Manchester United and Tottenham.
The Portuguese coach’s career has been down different avenues since, with spells at AS Roma and Fenerbahce.
Following his exit from the Turkish club, Mourinho is free again, and his previous suggestion of a return to the Premier League could open the door for Forest.
The 62-year-old has European pedigree, having won all three continental competitions currently available, which could be useful for this season.
Ange Postecoglou
TBR Football understands Ange Postecoglou is the leading candidate for the Nottingham Forest job, following his exit from Tottenham.
It would be a total change in approach in terms of the style, as the Australian coach focuses much more on pressing and attacking, compared to the more conservative approach from Espirito Santo.
Postecoglou is a serial winner, having recently won the Europa League with Tottenham, ending their wait for a trophy.
With Europa League football on the cards for Forest, along with a challenge to the Champions League places, a change in approach could breathe new life into the team.

Gareth Southgate
Former England boss Gareth Southgate is still available, having left his post back in 2024.
It’s been a while since the 55-year-old was managing in club football, with his only spell coming with Middlesbrough from 2006 until 2009.
Southgate’s time with England transformed things for him, though, as he helped guide the Three Lions to two European Championship finals.
It’s unclear whether he would be open to a return to management or if his style would be desirable for Forest, but he is a high-profile free agent.
Marco Rose
Marco Rose is another manager who is available, which would bring about a bit of a different style to the team.
The 48-year-old is all about high-energy and pressing, having become well known for his work in the Red Bull group with Salzburg, and more recently, Leipzig.
There was a spell with Borussia Dortmund too, while he has five honours to his name in German football.
Xavi
A potential move for Xavi could be on the cards if Nottingham Forest are looking to be ambitious with a high-profile arrival.
The Spaniard has been available since 2024, following a three-year spell with his beloved Barcelona.
Xavi landed one La Liga title and one Spanish Super Cup in that time, along with a whole host of trophies from his time in Qatar with Al-Sadd.
The 45-year-old focuses much more on a possession-based style of play, keeping players in certain positions on the pitch to help move the ball.
