Evangelos Marinakis is considering a significant change at Nottingham Forest just one game into the new season.
TBR Football understand Ange Postecoglou could replace Nuno Espirito Santo at the City Ground, amid disagreements over the style of play.
Marinakis is believed to want a more attacking brand of football at Nottingham Forest.
The current style is more aligned to sitting deep and hitting opponents on the break, with Nuno Espirito Santo happy to concede possession.
As Nottingham Forest consider bringing Ange Postecoglou to the City Ground, Marinakis already shared exactly what he thought of the 59-year-old back in July.
Evangelos Marinakis is a huge admirer of Ange Postecoglou
The Nottingham Forest owner actually presented the former Tottenham boss with an award back in July, for his services to Greek football.
Postecoglou is known as an Australian, largely due to his unmistakable accent, but he was actually born in Nea Filadelfeia, just a 17-minute drive away from where Marinakis was born in Piraeus.
Speaking at the event, Marinakis was quoted by Greek news outlet Neos Kosmos as saying: “What I want to say about Ange is that he has spoken about Greece many times, he is proud to be Greek and in the great success he had with Tottenham by winning the Europa League, he spoke about Greece.
“A man who not only does not hide his origin but is also proud of it. What he achieved, he did with a team that has not won any titles, it has had a very difficult time in recent years. In this huge success that the whole world saw, he promoted Greece.
“We must thank him especially for this and we wish him well, although we are sure that he will do well as he has the ability. Wherever he goes, the successes will come.”

Postecoglou, who was admired by Spurs players, had already been dismissed at Tottenham by this stage of the summer, so perhaps these comments from Marinakis were designed to butter him up – just in case his relationship with Nuno broke down completely at some point this season.
What Ange Postecoglou has said about the style of play Nuno Espirito Santo adopts
After losing 1-0 to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground last season, Postecoglou actually seemed impressed by how rigid the Reds are under Nuno, highlighting that Tottenham were never going to get many chances playing against a system like this.
He told Amazon Prime: “Tight game, not much in it really. With the way Forest set up, it is never going to be too open and not have too many chances.”
These thoughts were echoed in his post-match press conference.
Should Marinakis actually make the bold call of swapping Nuno for Postecoglou, it would be a seismic shift in philosophy for the Nottingham Forest squad – to say the very least.
