Fabrizio Romano says Tottenham will sign Clement Lenglet after Richarlison
Tottenham Hotspur are on the verge of signing Richarlison from Everton, and Fabrizio Romano has revealed who they’ll bring in after the Brazilian – Barcelona defender Clement Lenglet.
Spurs have been linked with a move for Richarlison for a while now. The Toffees star is a fantastic player, and his style of play really does suit Antonio Conte’s system.
If Richarlison’s deal does go through as expected, he’ll be Spurs’ fourth signing of this transfer window after Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma.
That’s an incredible window for Spurs, but Fabio Paratici, Daniel Levy and Conte are not done just yet.

Lenglet was always expected to leave Barcelona this summer, but not many people imagined Tottenham would be interested in signing him before the links first surfaced.
Reports revealed earlier this week that Spurs are working on signing Lenglet on loan this summer and are even trying to include a clause in the deal that would give them an option to make the move permanent next year.
Now, transfer guru Romano has claimed that Lenglet is ready to join Tottenham, and Conte has also approved the move. The journalist further says that the Barcelona man will be Spurs’ next signing after Richarlison.
Romano tweeted just a few minutes ago: “Tottenham, not done with Richarlison deal signed today. New negotiations round imminent to discuss details of Clément Lenglet deal, player keen on the move and clubs set to reach an agreement. Lenglet’s expected to become the next Spurs signing, approved by Conte.”
TBR View:
Lenglet really is an excellent defender.
The Frenchman never really got the credit he deserved at Barcelona, but a move to a club like Tottenham to play under Conte will definitely make the world notice how good a player he is.
Branded as ‘world class’ by France boss Didier Deschamps, Lenglet has tons of experience under his belt having played over 300 games for club and country over the years.
On paper, he looks an incredible fit for Conte’s Tottenham, and it really does look like the Italian will get his man in the coming days.
