David Ornstein has just reported on The Athletic that Everton star Richarlison is set to undergo a medical today ahead of a move to Tottenham Hotspur.

Spurs have been heavily linked with a move for the Brazil international over the last few weeks, and it finally looks like Antonio Conte has got his man.

Richarlison set to have Tottenham medical today

Ornstein claimed on Twitter that Spurs and Everton reached an agreement in principle for the transfer of Richarlison overnight.

The fee is said to be approximately £50 million plus an additional £10 million in add-ons. However, that hasn’t been fully agreed upon just yet, and the report claims the two clubs will be in contact again today to sort out a deal.

Everton are expected to accept a deal in the region of £60 million including add-ons following talks with Spurs today.

Richarlison, branded as a ‘fantastic player’ by Carlo Ancelotti, has reportedly agreed personal terms with Spurs, and a move looks imminent at this point.

TBR View:

This is a fantastic signing for Tottenham.

After bringing in Ivan Perisic, Fraser Forster and Yves Bissouma this summer, Spurs fans were hoping for a marquee signing, and it looks like they’ve got just that in Richarlison, who really is an excellent player.

The Brazilian can play anywhere across the front three, works extremely hard for the team, and from the outside at least, looks the perfect player for Antonio Conte.

The new Premier League season is a little over a month away, and it will be interesting to see how Conte will use Richarlison in a side that already has Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Dejan Kulusevski in attack.
