Barcelona central defender Clement Lenglet is now one step away from joining Tottenham Hotspur on loan for the season.
Spanish outlet Marca report that most of the deal is in place to take the Frenchman from the Camp Nou to north London.
The last thing to sort out is how the payment of his wages will be structured during the year he is spending with Antonio Conte’s men.
The report says Barcelona want Tottenham to cover them completely, while Spurs want some of them to be paid by the Spanish outfit.

Lenglet one step away from Tottenham
Lenglet has said ‘yes’ to Tottenham and talks are now very advanced between the two clubs.
The defender has already told Barcelona that he wants to go to Tottenham, who have beaten their former manager Jose Mourinho and Roma to loan him.
Barcelona wanted a sale, but Tottenham said that would be too expensive for them and have pushed for a loan, which has been accepted because of the Spanish side’s well-known financial issues.
Barca want the deal done before next Monday when Lenglet should report for pre-season training, and Spurs will hope he is their player by then.

Lenglet signed for Barca for a fee close to £32 million (Sky Sports), and has a £265 million release clause, so it represents a decent financial deal to get him on loan.
Spurs have reportedly been in talks with the defender for weeks and it seems that he is the man they are getting to bolster their backline.
Some fans might have hoped for a bigger name or at least a player who is not on loan to do that, but Lenglet has decent pedigree and should be hungry to reinvigorate his career in the Premier League.
