'One to look out for': Arsenal could still sign 'special' £38m man this summer ahead of Leeds, says journalist

Arsenal are not done with their summer spending and PSV winger Cody Gakpo is one for Gunners fans to look out for, according to Dean Jones.

The Gunners have spent in excess of £100m once more this window. However, it’s been claimed in recent weeks that Mikel Arteta is not quite done, and the Spaniard admitted after the win at Palace on Friday that the club were indeed going to try and get a few more faces in.

And speaking on tonight’s Football Terrace Podcast episode, journalist Dean Jones has said that PSV’s Gakpo – who has been watched by Leeds and Nottingham Forest – is one to watch.

‘They want to really kick on with it now (signing another few players). Cody Gakpo, is one to still look out for if they decide to look abroad for this signing,” Jones said on the Football Terrace Pod.

Gakpo has been one of the names mentioned throughout the transfer window and PSV are thought to want at least £38m for the winger.

Arsenal have missed out on a few players in wide areas this summer and were keen to sign now Barcelona winger Raphinha.

TBR’s View: Gakpo Will End Up In The Premier League

Some players just have Premier League player written all over them and Cody Gakpo appears to be one of them.

He’s been mentioned that much when it comes to a move to England this summer that is almost seems impossible he doesn’t sign this summer.

Gakpo has been sensational for PSV and the next logical step is to make the move to a big league like England, Spain, or Germany. Arsenal, of course, would be a nice move for Gakpo, albeit he would have a huge task in replacing Bukayo Saka down that right-hand side.
