Nottingham Forest have already had a massively active summer this year and could now launch a mega-money move for in-demand forward, Cody Gakpo.
Gakpo has been one of the names mentioned all summer when it comes to a number of clubs. The likes of Arsenal and Leeds are both said to be keen on the £34m-rated PSV star, who is expected to get a big move away from the Eredivisie sooner, rather than later.
And now, according to Foot Mercato, Nottingham Forest are the latest club to express an interest in signing Gakpo.

It’s claimed that Forest are looking to sign Gakpo as they look to make yet more moves in the market. The Reds have been trying to sign Morgan Gibbs-White from Wolves. But that bid has proved fruitless thus far and Gakpo could be another high profile option for Forest to target.
Foot Mercato claims that Forest have actually submitted a proposal to Gakpo already, although it hasn’t been ruled out for the 23-year-old to remain with PSV.
Lauded as being a ‘special’ talent, Gakpo would be quite the eye opening signing by Forest if they did get him, given the amount of interest in him from other clubs.
TBR’s View: Gakpo Would Be Huge For Forest
Wow. What a piece of business this would be by Forest. If they somehow managed to convince a player like Gakpo to sign then it really would be a statement.
Steve Cooper has been heavily backed this summer but Gakpo is the sort of player who can really take Forest to the next level. Given he’d cost more than £30m as well, Forest fans would rightly be excited.
