Chelsea could reportedly launch a last-minute move to sign Aston Villa striker Jhon Duran, who has been linked with the Blues this month.
The 20-year-old attacker has impressed under Unai Emery this season, with Duran viewed at Villa as the ideal backup option for Ollie Watkins, who has led the line expertly this campaign.
Yet that hasn’t stopped the Colombian international from being linked with a move away from Villa Park, with AC Milan, Chelsea and West Ham all reportedly interested in the attacker.

And according to the Telegraph, the Blues could now make a late attempt to sign Duran, with Mauricio Pochettino’s side struggling to bring in a new centre-forward.
Victor Osimhen and Ivan Toney have been deemed too expensive this January, and Chelsea’s search has now led them to the Premier League, with Duran a target for the west London side.
Lauded by Clinton Morrison as ‘outstanding’, the former Chicago Fire star would be a surprising signing for Chelsea, and Duran himself might prefer to remain at Villa for the rest of the season.
Jhon Duran could reject Chelsea to stay with Aston Villa

With Villa flying in the Premier League and Chelsea unlikely to qualify for Europe barring a miracle in the League Cup final against Liverpool, Duran has a big decision to make this month.
Whilst the Blues might be able to lure the South American to west London with a hefty financial package, there’s no telling how well Duran will actually settle at Chelsea if the forward does make the move.
Yet given the club’s torrid history of strikers, it’s safe to assume that Duran won’t find much of a place for him at Chelsea, something the attacker already has at Villa.
Indeed, remaining at Villa Park is seemingly the best choice for Duran, and Villa fans will hope the Colombian talent realises that this month if Chelsea make an offer to sign the striker.
