There was a lot to like about Celtic’s performance against Ross County on Saturday up at Dingwall.
Any 3-0 win is good in the Highlands as it’s traditionally a tough place for Celtic to get a result recently.
On top of that, we saw a very good performance by Hyeongyu Oh, another David Turnbull goal and a piledriver from Luis Palma that came from the top drawer.
But it wasn’t Palma’s goal that impressed BBC pundit Stephen Thompson. The Honduran’s right-foot thunderbolt was a wonder strike but it was his pass to James Forrest for his goal, Celtic’s third, that had Thompson out of his seat.
Thompson said [BBC Sportscene], “It’s a forward player’s dream, that ball.”
Palma has great delivery from that left wing. Coming in on his right foot, the ‘fantastic‘ 23-year-old player has shown that he has a terrific whip on his crosses that troubles goalkeepers and defenders alike.
Palma has is quickly becoming a firn fan’s favourite with his performances for Celtic. What he lacks in speed, he makes up for in passing, creativity and vision.
Against Ross County, he almost scored from a corner after spotting the ‘keeper way off his line but his whipped-in cross just narrowly scraped over the bar.

The £3.5m summer signing from Aris will prove to be a shrewd signing by Brendan Rodgers as he also grabs the international headlines.
For Honduras, Palma is also making a name for himself after being named in the CONCACAF Team of the Week after his performance against Cuba.
Now for Palma, the Champions League awaits once more. The Celtic fans will be hoping that he can pull another goal out of the hat in what will be a tough night against Atletico Madrid.
Whatever happens, at least the fans know that they have Palma for the next four seasons as the Honduran continues his progression in Paradise.
