That is according to Mundo Deportivo, which has reported that Barcelona are interested in Tottenham midfielder Sarr.

Well, according to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are scouting a number of players at the Africa Cup of Nations, and one of them is Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr.

Sarr, who has been on the books of Tottenham since 2021, is playing for Senegal at the Africa Cup of Nations.

Barcelona are scouting the 21-year-old, who recently signed a new contract with Tottenham.

My View: Tottenham will not sell Pape Matar Sarr

Just because Barcelona are scouting Pape Matar Sarr now does not mean that the La Liga club will make an offer for the midfielder in the final days of the January transfer window.

There is no way that Spurs will sell the midfielder now even if they got an offer for him. After all, the North London club recently handed the Senegal international a new contract.

Sarr has made 29 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. The youngster has scored two goals and given three assists in those games.

The 21-year-old has made 16 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Spurs this season.
