Tottenham star Pape Matar Sarr deemed ‘omnipresent’

90Min‘s French outlet rated the Senegal players after the match, and Sarr came in for some plaudits along with a 7 out of 10 rating.

“Omnipresent. This word alone can sum up Pape Matar Sarr’s display, as the sentinel of this team was impressive in his activity in midfield,” they wrote.

“Arriving slightly injured, he was the only one who did not take part in the match against Gambia. The 21-year-old intercepted balls, moved well with the ball at his feet, and delivered beautiful passes.

“The Tottenham man shone in midfield. His thunderous return on Georges-Kevin Nkoudou stopped one of the few dangerous situations from Cameroon.”

Likewise, TNT Sports gave Sarr a 7 out of 10 rating, the joint second highest of the match. Only Ismaila Sarr received a higher rating (8 out of 10).

All in all, a great display from the Tottenham man, who’s very quickly becoming indispensable for his country as he is for Spurs.
