Fabrizio Romano has said that Tottenham will soon announce Pape Matar Sarr’s new long-term contract with the club.
The 21-year-old Senegal international has been one of Tottenham’s breakout players this season, with Ange Postecoglou throwing his trust behind the midfielder to outstanding results.
Sarr has made 16 starts in the Premier League under the Australian manager, scoring two and assisting another two. And the youngster’s efforts are now being rewarded.
Romano took to Twitter to confirm that Sarr’s new contract with Tottenham will be announced soon, with the midfielder joining Destiny Udogie in signing a long-term deal with Spurs.
Indeed, Tottenham’s aggressive approach to tying down their best young players to lengthy contracts could prove to be a great strategy if the likes of Sarr and Udogie continue to develop at their current pace.
And in regards to the midfielder, it’s clear that Tottenham landed on a gem in Sarr, who looks like a midfielder who could star for Spurs for the next decade.

And Tottenham have played a blinder in signing the youngster down to a six-year contract, an agreement that keeps Sarr in north London for the formative years of his career.
With Udogie on a similar contract, Tottenham’s long-term vision is clear for all to see, and Sarr will become a key player for the north London side if he can continue his development.
