Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly planning to make a ‘mega’ bid to sign Inter Milan star Lautaro Martinez, but Italian agent Massimo Brambati’s comments suggest otherwise.

Alfredo Pedulla recently revealed that Martinez does not want to leave Inter Milan this summer. However, that hasn’t discouraged Conte one bit as the Italian, who managed El Toro at the San Saro, believes he can convince him to make the switch to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

It has been claimed that Spurs are expected to table an eye-watering £77 million bid for Martinez this summer, and the decision will be in Inter Milan’s hands – they can either accept it or turn it down.

However, Brambati claims that he met with Conte’s assistant recently, and it doesn’t look like Tottenham are even planning to sign a new forward this summer.

Speaking on TMW radio, as quoted by Tutto Juve, agent Brambati said when asked about rumours linking Martinez with a move to Tottenham: “I don’t know.

“I had dinner with Conte’s second man and he told me that they are very happy up front.

“Son was the top scorer, there is Kane and then Kulusevski. If something were to be exploited and Kane had to be moved for his needs, then anything can be.

“For me, Inter has the Skriniar question, who has offers, and perhaps another one to sell. However, it depends on the requests one has.”

Lautaro Martinez would be a fantastic signing for most clubs in the world, but it really is hard to imagine where he would fit in at Spurs.

Son, Kane and Kulusevski are the undisputed starters, and that is unlikely to change. Martinez, 24, is among the best strikers in world football, and he will not come to Spurs to sit on the bench and fill in whenever Kane needs a breather.

As things stand, it’s extremely unlikely that the Argentine will make a move to Tottenham this summer.

However, if something drastic happens in the next two months and Kane walks out of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Martinez could well be the man who’ll be brought in.
