£62m Arsenal target left fuming after rumours he could leave this club

Barcelona star Raphinha has posted a scathing message suggesting he could leave this summer, amid interest from Arsenal.

The Brazilian replied to a post on Instagram, which was relayed by Fabrizio Romano, as rumours circulate about his future.

Arsenal know they need to upgrade their squad going into next season.

There’s been vast improvement this season under Mikel Arteta, but they’re likely to fall just short of the Premier League title.

The Gunners will have the Champions League to prepare for next season for the first time since 2016.

Arsenal’s starting line-up is arguably already strong enough to compete in that competition.

However, games will be coming thick and fast, and Arsenal will require more squad depth.

A move to sign Raphinha from Barcelona would make a lot of sense for Arsenal.

They’ve been linked with him for some time now, and even wanted him last summer.

However, Raphinha has shut down any suggestions that he will be leaving Camp Nou any time soon.

A post on Instagram suggested Raphinha had agreed to leave the club in the summer.

He shut down these claims and said: “LIE. The person who said this is not only a liar but also a misinformed person.

“Ready, deleted my comment pq [why]? LIE one more time, this ok is LIE.

“And who said this is LIE, UNINFORMED AND NOT PROFESSIONAL.”

The signing of Leandro Trossard has eased the need for Arsenal to bring in another winger this summer.

The Belgian international has hit the ground running since his move from Brighton and is pushing to start ahead of Gabriel Martinelli.

Raphinha would offer quality competition for Bukayo Saka on the other wing.

Arsenal are huge fans of Raphinha and would love for Barcelona to make him available in the next transfer window.

Right now, it looks like the £62m attacker would take a huge amount of convincing to leave.
