£51m star has just followed two Tottenham players on Instagram, Spurs are reportedly favourites to sign him
Tottenham are keen to bring in a new central defender this summer and reported target Alessandro Bastoni has just followed two Spurs players on Instagram.
The Italian led Spurs to a fourth-place finish last season, which is an extraordinary achievement. He should be celebrating now, but instead, Conte and co are hard at work to make Tottenham even better next term.
The North Londoners announced the signing of Ivan Persisic on a free transfer this week, and he is a phenomenal addition to the squad. He has bags of experience under his belt and is a top-quality player as well.

Perisic definitely won’t be the only arrival this summer. Conte has big plans, and one of them include signing Bastoni before the end of the window.
Alessandro Bastoni follows two Tottenham players on Instagram
Bastoni raised the excitement level among Tottenham fans when he posted an Instagram Story this week, revealing that he’s on his way to London. However, he was just coming to the capital to represent Italy in the Finalissima.
Italy, sadly, suffered a humiliating defeat against Lionel Messi’s Argentina last night at Wembley, but Bastoni may have just rubbed shoulders with a couple players who could soon be his new teammates.
Right after the 3=0 defeat last night, Tottenham fans spotted something really interesting on Bastoni’s Instagram, which has added further fuel to all the speculation.
The Italian, who is valued at an eye-watering £51 million, followed Tottenham’s Argentine stars Giovani Lo Celso and Cristian Romero on the social media platform. Is he making new friends?
Spurs are the favourites to sign him
It’s very unlike Tottenham to start their transfer business this early in the summer, but we can clearly see that Conte is not messing around.
Reports revealed last week that despite Inter’s mammoth demands, Spurs are in pole position to sign Bastoni this summer.
Conte knows the 23-year-old Italian really well thanks to their time together at the San Siro, and it looks like he’s convinced that the young defender is the right man for him at Tottenham.
Daniel Levy and Fabio Paratici will surely try to bring down Inter’s asking price in the coming weeks. But, if that’s not possible, Spurs should just splash the cash as Bastoni really is a fantastic talent, and he can go on to become one of the best defenders in the world in a few years’ time.
