Alessandro Bastoni has posted his reaction on Instagram after Ivan Perisic completed his move to Tottenham Hotspur, with the defender wishing the Croatian well in the Premier League.

Perisic was unveiled as Spurs’ first signing. The 33-year-old has signed a two-year deal, linking up with Antonio Conte once again after working with the Italian at Inter Milan.

Tottenham will certainly hope that Perisic’s arrival proves to be a key moment. Obviously, keeping Conte is a massive statement of intent regarding where the club hope to go.

And Perisic has won league titles with Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich and Inter. The Scudetto, of course, was won with Conte at the helm at San Siro.

He is also a Champions League winner. And he can play in a number of positions. So it really has the potential to be an amazing piece of business from Tottenham.

Lautaro Martinez lauded Perisic on Instagram following the move. Obviously, Martinez has been linked with a move to North London himself. So Tottenham fans may have picked up on the striker wishing him well.

But another Spurs target has also responded. Bastoni posted a good luck message to his ‘brother’ on his Instagram story…

Tottenham are very keen on Bastoni. Reports claimed that Conte sees the Italian international becoming one of the world’s best in his position. And signing a left-sided centre-back looks to be a must.

Bastoni loves the Nerazzurri. So agreeing a deal will not be easy. But seeing players such as Perisic make the switch before him will surely do Spurs’ hopes no harm.

It looks set to be an exciting summer for Tottenham. Perhaps Perisic will not be the last to make the move from San Siro.
