Premier League legend Emmanuel Petit has lavished praise on Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp and the ‘anger’ that helps him win games.

Petit, a World Cup winner with France in 1998, has played under the likes of Arsene Wenger and Claudio Ranieri in the past, and he knows a great manager when he sees one.

He has followed Klopp’s work at Liverpool very closely over the years and he has now claimed that he’s a massive fan of the German and what he does on the touchline every game.

Petit even went on to claim that he would’ve loved to play under Klopp, which is a big compliment.

Emmanuel Petit: I love Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp

Speaking on Stadium Astro this week, the legendary Frenchman said: “I am a huge fan of players at Manchester City and Liverpool.

“To be honest with you, I really love the way Liverpool play.

“I am a big, big fan of Jurgen Klopp. I love that guy. I never met him, but I am pretty sure I would have been happy to have played under his responsibility.

“I love the humility from this guy. This anger to win every single game. You can see physically, he can change (the game) in the space of two seconds from the bench.”

Almost every player who has ever played the game would arguably love to work under a manager like Jurgen Klopp.

The German is tactically brilliant, the energy he brings from the touchline is infectious and the way he protects his players makes them want to give everything for him on the pitch.

Klopp’s man-management deserves immense credit too. He’s among the best in the world with how he deals with his players and it’s no surprise that he’s adored by everyone who has ever worked under him.

Klopp’s Liverpool now have a chance to make history by winning the quadruple. It won’t be easy but if anybody can do it, it’s the German.
