Ben Davies also played well for Spurs. The Wales international started in central defence alongside Cristian Romero in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
There was a really outstanding moment from Davies in the first half. In the ninth minute, the 30-year-old made a last-second sliding clearance to stop Alexander Isak from scoring.
As you can see, Dietmar Hamann was impressed. The former Newcastle United defensive midfielder believes that it was world class from the 30-year-old.

Davies has made six starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for Spurs this season.

I believe that Spurs are very much in the running for a top-four finish in the Premier League table this season.
Yes, recent results before the win against Newcastle United were not great, but they have been playing well and are a joy to watch.
I do not think that Tottenham are good enough to challenge for the Premier League, but they can certainly end up in the UEFA Champions League places.
