Spurs were the dominating team from start to finish. One of Tottenham’s best players on Sunday evening was Son Heung-min.

Son gave two assists and scored a goal from the penalty spot. The £197,000-a-week (SalarySport) South Korea international was a constant problem for the Newcastle defence.

And, as you can see, former Tottenham winger Aaron Lennon was impressed, taking to X to praise Son.

Son has made 16 appearances in the Premier League for Spurs this season. The 31-year-old has scored 10 goals and given four assists in those games.

The South Korean star has made 284 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. Son has scored 113 goals and given 56 assists in those games.

Big win for Tottenham

Newcastle United are a good team, and I believe that Tottenham Hotspur have to be given a lot of credit for the way they dismantled Eddie Howe’s side.

Tottenham had lost four of their previous five matches. They needed to win against Newcastle. And they did.

What was remarkable about Spurs was that they won the match playing the same kind of football that had seen them lose in recent weeks. Head coach Ange Postecoglou stuck to his principles, and this time it paid off.
