Manchester City winger Jeremy Doku was in fine form on Thursday night as he helped put Napoli to the sword in the Champions League.
Jeremy Doku, fresh off his impressive display against Manchester United at the weekend, followed up his derby heroics with an equally great performance against Napoli.
The Belgium international grabbed the all-important second goal for Manchester City to wrap the game up against the Serie A champions.
Doku turned on the edge of the area and drove into the box before slotting the ball through the legs of Vanja Milinkovic-Savic on 65 minutes.
What Doku said in the press just two weeks before Thursday night’s outing has suddenly become very interesting.

Jeremy Doku said the best was yet to come from him
Things can change very quickly in football – before the international break, City were seemingly in the doldrums after a poor start to the season.
Likewise, Doku continued to be criticised for his apparent lack of end product, particularly after he failed to create any chances against Liechtenstein.
Doku told the Belgian press that he didn’t feel he was at his best yet, considering City didn’t really have a pre-season in the wake of the Club World Cup.
“I’m not the best version of myself yet,” Doku was quoted by Het Nieuwsblad as saying.
“For us players, good pre-season simply doesn’t exist anymore. We get three weeks off and have to be ready again. It takes time to get back on track as a team.
“Our coach, Pep Guardiola, is still as passionate as ever and is working even harder to turn things around quickly. Pep isn’t just sitting there for no reason.”
Doku really meant it when he told fans that they hadn’t seen the best of him – and they’ll be absolutely buzzing that he has done just that.
