Peter Crouch has shared who he thinks is better between Manchester City striker Erling Haaland and Liverpool newcomer Alexander Isak.
The league’s most high-profile centre-forwards are now both at clubs expected to challenge for the Premier League and Champions League.
Erling Haaland has been doing the business for Manchester City for three years now, and he has hit the ground running this season too.
Meanwhile, Alexander Isak earned himself a move to Liverpool after a superb campaign with Newcastle United last time out.
Peter Crouch, who certainly knows a fair bit about playing up front in the Premier League, has now given his verdict on the two goal machines.

Peter Crouch says Erling Haaland is the Premier League’s best striker
Crouch seems to prefer Haaland, describing him as the “best centre-forward in the Premier League”.
The former Reds striker did say he loves watching Isak “as well”, and he also praised Mohamed Salah.
However, Crouch concluded by saying he “absolutely” loves watching the Man City marksman.
“He’s the best centre-forward in the Premier League,” Crouch said of Haaland on That Peter Crouch Podcast. “I think.
“Isak, I love watching as well. Mo Salah obviously is a winger, incredible goal scorer.
“But Haaland is someone that I absolutely love watching play football.”
How Erling Haaland and Alexander Isak compare
The world of football loves nothing more than two of the very best in the game finding themselves in direct competition in terms of trophies and individual accolades.
Isak’s move to Liverpool means that he, like Haaland at City, will be in contention for the biggest trophies in the game.
Haaland comfortably won the battle against Darwin Nunez, who left Liverpool this summer.
However, Isak is a proven Premier League striker who is expected to go to the next level at Anfield, and he should be a much stronger rival for Haaland.
Prior to last Sunday’s Premier League fixtures, Sky Sports published a table comparing the two strikers’ efforts in the Premier League – per 90 minutes – since last season.

Sky Sports journalist Patrick Rowe compared Haaland’s physical style of play to “heavy metal”, while Isak’s more elegant style of play was deemed “jazz”.
One thing’s for sure – it’ll be a pleasure to see two of the world’s best strikers competing for titles and working their magic in the Premier League week in, week out.
Indeed, Michail Antonio also feels Haaland will take Man City to the Champions League trophy this season.
