Arsenal could certainly do with signing a striker before the deadline as Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus are currently Mikel Arteta’s only options.
The Gunners have already signed David Raya permanently, Riccardo Calafiori from Bologna and most recently Mikel Merino joined Arsenal from Real Sociedad.
However, there’s still room for improvements and a striker appears to be on the radar with Evan Ferguson being eyed by Arsenal and the possibility still there for Arteta to possibly sign Viktor Gyokeres.
One player who is of interest to Arsenal is Victor Osimhen with Chelsea working on a deal to sign him, and the Gunners have previously held talks with the striker.
Although, Ben Jacobs has gone and provided a bit of an update on exactly what he believes to be the situation is regarding Arsenal and Victor Osimhen as the window winds down…

Speaking to Arsenal related YouTube channel Curtis Shaw TV, Ben Jacobs has revealed what sources have repeatedly told him about the striker’s chances of joining.
“We can’t categorically rule out Arsenal for Osimhen, but for many months sources have categorically downplayed the move.
“So if something develops it will largely down to the fact that the agent fees, the overall price and the wages have dropped. Because Napoli become desperate and Osimhen becomes desperate.
“And you’d be nuts if you’re Arsenal not to monitor that, even if they’ve downplayed Osimhen for the last few months.
“I’ve heard more towards late movement on Osimhen from multiple clubs. And I know that Arsenal are monitoring that.“
An exit for Victor Osimhen is something that David Ornstein thinks is likely, thought it could go all the way down to deadline day as the striker seeks a move away.
How much are Napoli asking for to sign Victor Osimhen?
Much to the potential disappointment of Arsenal fans, Chelsea and Al-Ahli are currently the only two clubs interested in signing Osimhen.
Osimhen’s release clause currently stands at a whopping €120m (£101m), though it was reported in June that Arsenal could sign the Napoli striker for £85 million.
There’s no doubting the African star’s ability having scored 48 goals in 71 matches over the last couple of seasons, and he is the perfect profile for Arsenal as a tall, fast player who’s good at holding the ball up.
The Gunners operated with more of a false 9 in the form of Kai Havertz last season and Arteta has already adopted that same approach in the current campaign. To be fair to the Spaniard there’s no reason to change a system that clearly works for him and his side.
However, ending the transfer window without signing a striker would be a massive risk as Gabriel Jesus is the only other option and he’s had an injury scare already this season.
